Company of the Year
Well done everyone!

All our hard work paid off and having entered ourselves for Company of the Year in Bristol, we came runner-up, meaning we qualify for the next round of the competition, and the regional finals!

Thursday 26th February

Atomic Kitten Gig
Alex (marketing) is a huge AK fan (so much so they consider her a personal friend). So when she went to one of their gigs the other day, she asked them to look at our book. They were so impressed they each bought one and said 'it was really original and they would love to help support it'.

Thursday 12th February

reddymaid celebration party for winning the Trade Fair
As a reward for our achievement at the Trade Fair, we had a party in the following meeting. There was music, coke, and lemon polenta cake from our book!

We all really enjoyed the day and not only due to the fact that we missed school for it! It was a great chance for us to talk to other companies and find out how they had been getting on, as well as make contacts to take part in our banner exchange.

Tuesday 10th February

Trade Fair at The Galleries
Having only had the books delivered by the Printers the night before, we were all really excited at having the chance to finally sell something at the Trade Fair.

At the end of the day, we were told that our stall had won the Trade Fair. We were not expecting it at all, and has really motivated us over the last couple of weeks. A big thank you goes to our link teachers and business advisors. Also, congratulations to Phoenix for getting Highly Commended.

Friday 6th February

reddymaid and Jinja's Valentine's Disco
To help us raise enough capital to actually print 'Savour the Flavour of Bristol', we held several money-making events. One of which was a joint Valentine's Disco with the YE company Jinja, from Cathedral School, Bristol.

Saturday 6th December

The Red Maids' Christmas Bazaar
As our book hadn't been printed at the time of the Bazaar, we spent the time by selling tickets for our raffle, taking pre-orders for the recipe book, and finally, by face-painting!
